Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you accept at Creative Kingdom?
We care for children ages 0–5 years, offering a warm, structured environment designed for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
What time does Creative Kingdom Childcare open and close?
Our Nampa childcare program is open Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Creative Kingdom Childcare offers early-morning care, after-hours care, full-day childcare, half-day childcare, and flexible hours for busy families who need safe, dependable support. We offer drop-ins as well, depending on the day’s student ratio.
- Please don’t hesitate asking about your specific hours needed for childcare. I am usually more than happy to accommodate your specific hours!
Are you a licensed or Idaho STARS–approved childcare provider?
Yes! Creative Kingdom is Idaho STARS–trained, fully background checked, and follows all state guidelines for safe and professional in-home childcare.
What makes your in-home daycare different from larger childcare centers?
We provide small-group care, personalized attention, a calm home environment, consistent routines, and a stronger caregiver–child bond. Children get more one-on-one support and less overstimulation than in larger centers. As a family, you recieve a nanny experience without the nanny price tag.
Do you offer a preschool curriculum?
Yes. We provide a play-based preschool program with early literacy, math readiness, sensory play, fine motor activities, arts & crafts, music, science discovery, and outdoor exploration.
Are meals and snacks included?
Yes! We offer healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks each day.
How many children are in your program at one time?
We keep a very small group of children (fewer than 6) to ensure high-quality attention, safety, comfort, and personalized care for each child. You receive a nanny experience here.
Do you currently have openings or a waitlist?
Openings vary. To check current availability, please contact us directly — we often have limited spots due to our small group size.
Will my child get the same attention they would with a nanny?
Yes! With intentionally small enrollment and a cozy home environment, our small, home-based childcare program in Nampa feels more like a boutique nanny experience.
Our low child-to-caregiver ratio provides children with meaningful one-on-one attention and gentle guidance throughout the day. Families often describe our program as having a nanny vibe, thanks to the personal connection, flexible support, and home-like environment, but with the added benefits of early education and social play.
What safety measures do you follow?
We follow strict safety practices, including:
Secure home entry
Constant supervision
Safe sleep practices
Daily sanitizing
Age-appropriate toys and materials
CPR/First Aid certification
Emergency plans and drills
Background checks for all adults in the home
What is your sick policy?
Children must stay home if they have a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious illness, or are too uncomfortable to participate. This keeps our group healthy and safe.
Do you offer part-time or drop-in care?
We offer full-time, part-time, and occasional drop-ins depending on availability.
What is your potty-training policy?
We partner with parents during potty training and follow consistent routines. Children do not need to be fully potty-trained to enroll.
What does a typical day look like?
Children enjoy a balanced schedule with:
Free play
Circle time
Learning activities
Music & movement
Outdoor play
Snack/meal times
Arts & crafts
Nap or quiet time
How do you handle discipline or behavior guidance?
We use positive guidance, redirection, modeling, and gentle teaching. No time-outs or punitive methods. We support emotional development with empathy and consistency that helps build a strong foundation to support emotional intelligence.
How do you communicate with parents?
We update families daily through conversations, text messages, and photos (if they like). Parents always know how their child’s day went.
Do you go outdoors every day?
Yes — weather permitting. Outdoor play helps children strengthen motor skills, creativity, and independence.
What should my child bring each day?
Most families bring:
Diapers/pull-ups
Wipes
Extra clothes
Water bottle
Nap items (blanket/lovie)
Weather-appropriate clothing
Meals/snacks (if they wish)
How do you handle allergies or special dietary needs?
We take allergies seriously. Parents must provide written instructions, and we maintain strict food safety practices to avoid cross-contact.
What holidays or closures should I expect?
We follow a consistent yearly closure schedule that includes major holidays, planned vacation days, and occasional professional development days. All closures are shared with families well in advance to support easy planning.
